Upgrade EEE PC 4G to 9000Mhz

Eee PC 4G or also known as the 701 series name, which is netbook adopted 900MHz processor. But to save batteries and prevent it becoming too hot., Asus deliberately set in the range of 630MHz. The reason for this reasonable, but can be considered as a barrier that is for them to get a higher speed.

Well, do not worry. There are tricks updated BIOS that can be done to raise the Eee PC 4G processor from 630MHz to be 900MHz. Want to know? Follow these steps. for not just one wrong, this tutorial is not an overclocking processor. We only restore the clock speed processor Asus Eee PC to the standard conditions, ie 900MHz.




The need to be prepared:

1. Asus Eee PC 4G or 701
2. At least 512MB flash disk
3. HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool (download at downloads.pcworld.com/pub/new/utilities/peripherals/SP27608.exe)
4. SuperROM/Bios705 (download at www.ziddu.com/download/2062265/BIOS705.zip.html)
5. FlashBoot (download at www.prime-expert.com/flashboot/)

Phase copying and Making Startup
1) Copy afudos.exe and eeepc.rom to drive C: - the Eee PC.
2) Install the package HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool and FlashBoot.
3) Enter the flash disk, flash disk format and use the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool.
4) Open FlashBoot, and select Create a bootable flash disk with a minimum set of DOS system files> Next> Use built-in FreeDOS> Make Bootable USB Flash Disk which is physically present on the PC. Navigate to bring the drive, click Next, and please wait until finished.

Phase Upgrade
1) Insert the flash disk while the Eee PC death (turn off), then switch on the netbook and press F2 to enter the BIOS. After that, Boot Set> Boot Device Priority> 1st Boot Device to be [Removable Dev.].
2) While still stick flash disk, restart the Eee PC and press ESC him to appear Booting options. Go for booting from the flash disk.
3) It appears that the note ended: "Press any key to continue the boot ...", press Enter many times to appear, such as the command prompt C: ->.
4) Please enter and type C: -> dir D: -.
5) Make sure the file exists afudos.exe and eeepc.rom in D: -. For information, D: - here is drive C: - Windows XP on my Eee PC. Because the drive C: - has been used by the flash disk for Booting (boot shadow), then C: - Windows will be read as D: -.
6) and enter Type C: -> D:. Thus, the prompt will move to D: ->.
7) Type and enter D: -> afudos / ieeepc.rom.
8) Wait until the process is completed.

Stage Use
1) Please restart the Eee PC and press F2 to enter the BIOS. In the BIOS, the BIOS changes will appear with writing .... BIOS revision 0511 Test 705.
2) Select Advanced. Then, you will find a new menu that will be used. Mari, we change the menu.
3) Select Adjust FSB Speed becomes Max Performace. Max Performace this will change the FSB to a 900MHz processor. If you want to restore the default condition or 630MHz, select Max Battery Life.


Now, to prove whether to update the BIOS to increase the 900MHz processor is successful or not, please go to Control Panel> System. There, you can see the information 900MHz. Or, you can also use the software CPU Z (www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_147.zip) to conduct the test.
